Gorgeous In-home Newborn Photography Session in Northern Virginia
I love getting to know my clients and learning about what they’re envisioning for their newborn session. Every mom has different tastes but being able to capture their family in the comfort of their own home is such a fun experience and my clients love this. In-home newborn sessions also help keep older siblings entertained and allow me to include family pets as well.
Ms pepper and I are such good friends now. It’s such a pleasure to be able to photograph families starting from when their pregnant, (check out Christina’s maternity session here) to when the baby arrives. Allows me to not only get to know the couple but even their fur babies as well! Pepper loved being the center of attention, and I could see how much she loved her new baby brother! If you are worried about including your pets in the session, don’t be! I have two husky dogs myself and understand that dogs need to adjust with someone new in their home. I always start the session with the pups sniffing me, this gains their trust and just like the newborn sessions, being patient and letting them check you out makes it that much calmer and everyone is happy.
Thank you James, Christina and Pepper for allowing me to be part of this special time, it was such a pleasure bring part of it all.

Beautiful In-Home Newborn Photography Session in Northern Virginia
I'm so excited to share this beautiful in-home newborn photography session in Northern Virginia. I had a lot of baby boys being born in the past month so it was such a pleasure to get to capture sweet baby Abby.
When I chatted with Amy, Abby's mom, about what she was envisioning for a newborn session, we were all being quarantined because of covid. With so many uncertainties, we didn't know what to expect. I knew she wanted to make sure I was taking precautions, which I am! Each session I come prepared wearing a mask as well as washing my hands before photographing or posing a baby. Other things I do outside of the session is washing all my wraps and baby outfits after each session. I wipe down my camera body and lenses (photographers, don't forget to do this). As a mother myself, it's super important to me to make sure I'm taking the precautions to keep myself and family healthy and the same goes for my clients. I appreciate Amy and Mike trusting me to be in their home and to capture their beautiful daughter.
One of the perks to booking with me is that I have some simple props that I bring with me to every newborn session. This includes some wraps and little newborn outfits. I love doing this, so I can try and eliminate any stress for mom. I know sometimes it's hard trying to plan everyone's outfits, so being able to provide cute headbands and stretchy wraps really completes the session. The blue outfit and sweet headband is just one of the few items I incorporated into their newborn session. Who says boys can only wear blue!
Thank you Amy and Mike again for allowing me into your sweet home and capturing your adorable daughter. Looking forward to capturing more for your family in the future. You can see their full review on google here.
