Classic & Simple Northern Virginia Newborn Photography
Are you looking for a classic and simple Northern Virginia in-home newborn photography experience? Well, you came to the right place. Hello and welcome, I'm Stacey voted The Best Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. professional newborn photographer. I’m so grateful you're here. As a professional newborn photographer, I provide portraits that are completely unique to every families needs. Depending on your tastes and how you wish to enjoy them really determines how your portraits will turn out. For Megan's vision, she really loved the idea of authentic and classic portraits for her newborn daughter and family. She also loved how I shared why an in-home newborn session is beneficial and how I can safely pose her daughter in the comfort of their own home.
I believe it's super important to get to know each of my clients before they take the leap on booking me. I encourage this because I think every family deserves to see a full gallery, ask any questions they have and really discuss their vision for their session, that way I can better serve them but also give them a chance to be part of the process.
Sweet Kendall arrived on May 18th, and I captured their family two short weeks after in their beautiful home in Fairfax, Virginia. During the session I captured a mix of simple newborn poses and candid shots. Focusing on Kendall's needs and really letting her guide the session. Sweet Kendall was a little hungry still, so we let her guide the session and Megan fed her daughter. Once she was fully fed, dad swaddled her and let her rest before I started to pose her. In order for me to safely and successfully pose any baby they need to be in a deep sleep. Swaddling and feeding baby is the best way to keep baby happy. Kendall slept through the whole session which allowed me to capture some sweet sleepy and adorable portraits.
Thank you so much for following along, sweet Kendalls portraits turned out great. Thank you Megan and Drew for allowing me into your home, looking forward to seeing Kendall grow and can’t wait to capture more of your family in the future.

Sweet Ashburn Virginia Newborn Photography | Baby Finn
I had such an absolute amazing time capturing this growing family at their Ashburn Virginia home for baby Finn’s newborn session. When I first arrived ms Audrey greeted me with the biggest smile. She wanted to show me all her toys and I was super excited she wanted to have a tea party with me! Of course I got greeted with the pups too. Who couldn’t resist some doggy kisses.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. After greeting everyone we headed to the master bedroom and nursery, both rooms had amazing lighting and those are the rooms I typically stay in to make sure the portraits come out beautifully. I love the colors that Heather incorporated into the session. Adding a little bit of color is always so fun and just makes the images pop. Baby Finn was literally a champ this whole session. After his feeding he was out, and through out the whole time of me posing him he did not once need a pacifier. Every baby is different and some are little more sensitive than others, some need more comfort and some are happy as can be.
I love the idea of including family pets, but this also determines how the pets are. In this case Macy was the more cooperative one, and that’s okay. I let the dogs guide me, and if they’re just too excited and don’t want to lay down then I don’t push anything.
Thank you Heather for choosing me as your newborn photographer and for allowing me to capture your family. Looking forward to capturing your family in the future.
