Gorgeous Blush Studio Newborn Photography Session in Augusta, GA

Hello and welcome! My name is Stacey and I’m a newborn photographer in Augusta, GA. If you have come across this post then most likely you’re looking to find the perfect newborn photographer to capture your little one. I offer newborn portraits either in your home or in studio. Every session is catered specifically for my clients and I am here every step of the way to make it special for you.

Mila rocked her session and with the beautiful colors mom choose for the session, sweet baby Mila was glowing as well as her mom! Every newborn session typically takes 2-3 hours long, we always take breaks if baby is still hungry. Mila arrived at her session already fed and sleepy. So we swaddled her and started with the parent photos before we move forward with the posing. My studio is always warm especially when we pose baby by themself. Here are just some of my favorites from this gorgeous session!

How To Choose Colors For Your Newborn Session | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

How To Choose Colors For Your Newborn Session

As a new mom, there are so many exciting moments to look forward to, from the moment you hear your baby's first cry to their first smile. One of the most exciting and memorable moments for many new parents is capturing those precious early days with a newborn photo session.

As you prepare for your newborn session, you may be wondering what colors would be best to use. Today, we will be sharing some tips on how to choose the perfect colors for your little one's photo shoot so you can capture them in all their glory!

Consider Your Baby's Skin Tone

One of the most important things to keep in mind when choosing colors for your newborn session is your baby's skin tone. If your baby has a fair or light complexion, soft pastel colors like baby pink, light blue, or lavender will look stunning. If your baby has a darker complexion, bolder colors like deep navy, rich burgundy, or emerald green will complement their skin tone beautifully.

Think About The Color Scheme Of Your Home

Another thing to consider when choosing colors for your newborn session is the color scheme of your home. You want your newborn photos to fit in with the overall aesthetic of your home. If your home has a neutral color scheme, consider using colors like beige, cream, or soft grey for your newborn session. If your home has more of a bold and vibrant color scheme, consider using colors like red, yellow, or orange.

Incorporate Different Textures

When choosing colors for your newborn session, it's important to think about texture as well. Mixing different textures can add depth and interest to your photos. Consider using soft blankets, fuzzy rugs, or fluffy pillows in a variety of colors to add dimension to your photos.

Look To Nature For Inspiration

Nature is a great source of inspiration when it comes to choosing colors for your newborn session. Soft colors like light green, pale yellow, or baby blue are reminiscent of springtime and renewal. Rich, earthy hues like deep brown, rust, or burgundy are perfect for fall. Think about the season your baby was born in and use that as a starting point for your color scheme.

Conclusion

Choosing colors for your newborn session may seem daunting at first, but with these tips, you'll be able to create a stunning color scheme that complements your baby's skin tone and fits in with the overall aesthetic of your home. Remember to think about texture and draw inspiration from nature. Most importantly, don't be afraid to try new things and get creative. No matter what color you choose, your pictures will be a beautiful reminder of your little one.
