Oatmeal Lactation Cookies Recipe | Northern Virginia Family Photographer
It’s crazy to believe it’s been one month since I had Wyatt. There’s beens SO many differences between my first son and now our second, Wyatt. This time around I started to produce a lot of milk which is awesome when needing to store for later use. However, after coming home from the hospital I noticed my supply was decreasing, and it started to stress me out. I went to see a lactation consultation and they gave me some tips on how to help with my supply. One of the things was lactation cookies! If you are a new mom or even a second time mom like myself and you’re looking to increase your milk supply, then you MUST make these cookies!
This recipe is for those nursing mothers who are looking to help with their milk supply. From my very own experience these cookies have helped tremendously with getting my supply up. Although this isn’t the only thing that I did to increase my supply, it was one of the key things that benefit me and they are healthy! The key ingredient is brewer’s yeast. This can not be substituted for any other kind of yeast. I got mine off amazon because the local grocery stores did not have them.
The recommended amount is 2-3 cookies a day. This should be enough to increase your milk supply but again this isn’t the only thing I did to help increase my supply. I made sure I drank lots of water, like SOO much water. I saw results in about a week with these changes. Hope this helps for those mothers looking for a boost!
