Beautiful Outdoor Newborn Session in Atlanta Georgia

This gorgeous outdoor newborn session in Atlanta GA was such a dream to capture. Don't get me wrong, I love my inhome newborn sessions. But I gravitate towards warmth and color and the idea of doing an outdoor newborn session had me excited!

This location is hidden in Atlanta Georgia, and I love all the trees. It’s such a pretty location in the spring. If you love greenery then you will love this! Also weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold.

So I know this question has come up a lot, do I choose to do an in-home newborn session or outdoor newborn session. What type of session is perfect for my family? Well I’m here to give you some guidance. I treat an outdoor newborn session just like I would treat an indoor newborn session. I am baby-led, leaving plenty of time for feeding and soothing. If you anticipate that your baby might be fussy, I would plan to bring a swaddle, a pacifier, bottles if you’re bottle-feeding, and don’t forget snacks/treats for your big kid. A surprising number of fussy babies feel very soothed by the outdoors and you might find they’re calmer than they normally are indoors! I highly encourage those moms that are adventurous and are looking for diversity in backdrop to do an outdoor newborn session. I promise you that it will be soooo worth it!
