Questions to ask before hiring a newborn photographer | Newborn Photography Augusta, GA
Hello and welcome! Congratulations on your exiting news! I know that you may have some questions before wanting to hire a Augusta, GA Newborn Photographer, and I completely get it! Especially as a first time mom, I know that everything is so new! I am here to help and answer any and all your questions you have. My name is Stacey and I’m an Augusta, GA Newborn Photographer so lets get into some popular questions I get asked.
What’s the difference between in-home and studio newborn photography?
So there are differently benefits to both types of newborn sessions, just depends on how you wish to capture your baby. As someone who offers both types of sessions, you get the best of both worlds.
In-home sessions are great because it allows you to capture your newborn baby in the first home you brought your baby to. This also allows you to capture your baby in the nursery, extra special if you decided to decorate their space. The biggest perk is that you don’t have to leave and travel anywhere. It’s one less thing you have to worry about, because you have everything there you need to keep your sweet baby happy. Only prep for in-home sessions is making sure your spaces that have the best natural light is clear of clutter.
Studio photography does have its perks as well. Although you do need to travel for these, if you’re looking for a neutral space with great lighting then this option is perfect for you. A client wardrobe is offered as well so you can feel your best in the studio space. Accessories and props are included as well. Bonus point is that you don’t have to learn your home prior to the session day, let's be honest, I don’t think I cleaned when I came home from the hospital.
Does This Photographer Supply Any Props or Outfits?
I’ve been a Newborn Photographer in Augusta, GA for quite awhile, and I know as a new mom, sometimes I’d like to not have to worry about anything like props, outfits and accessories. So being able to supply many options for my clients is just one of the many things I like to take off my clients plate.
However you are more than welcome to bring anything you’d want to include in the session. Sentimental items are always welcomed and make your portraits that more special.
What Should You Bring to the Augusta, GA Newborn Photography Session?
Every photographer is going to have things they recommend. For me though, I only recommend items I don’t already have. My home studio is stocked with wipes, diapers, burp clothes, and extra pacifiers. If you are breastfeeding or formula feeding then definitely bring those, as only mama can supply food for her newborn baby. If you have anything sentimental like a special blanket or outfit then bring those as well!
Does Your Photographer Do Indoor and Outdoor Photo Sessions?
Finding a newborn photographer who does both indoor and outdoor portraits can be difficult to find. But you’re in luck, because I happened to offer both! Some mamas prefer the studio because Georgia weather is very humid and lots of bugs, but if you happen to have a fall baby, fall is beautiful time to photograph newborns and their family. Which ever you decide, I’m here to help!
Do They Offer Photo Prints or Only Digital Copies?
In today’s day and age many people download their photos onto their phone or computer and call it a day. However, someone who missed out on capturing her first son, I prefer classic prints and heirloom albums so not only do you get to flip through those memories for years to come, your children can enjoy them as well. I think its so important to offer both options for my clients so they can have digital copies on hand but also being able to enjoy them though tangible prints.
I’m sure you have so many more questions as a soon-to-be-mama, so don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m here to help and ease your stress when finding the right newborn photographer for you. If you have any questions, please contact me, I’ll gladly answer any questions you may have. Looking forward to being your newborn photographer in Augusta, GA.
